Debate is responsible for carrying out various factors in democratic society
  1. It helps people discover values of the past and compare them with those of present time. By realizing the importance of those values students are able to analyze present and outline the future.
  2. It allows people to value their right of choice by organizing comprehensive discussions and finding several solutions for the problem.

There are always two positions in a debate:
"Pros" team always agrees with the topic statement of a debate while "Cons" team always argues it.
During a debate both teams demonstrate various facts to prove their position and be recognized as a winner. Decision of the judge shouldn’t be bias or in any way based on his own point of view. The judge should be impartial and make decisions taking into consideration the quality of performances of both teams.
A special debate structure has been developed in the scopes of YES project for the formed debate clubs. The duration of each debate is 40 minutes.
