Duel Meets

In this stage friendly debates take place in each participant town. The aim of these debates is to assist the formation of the clubs as one united team, as well as to establish good relationship between the clubs.Teams prepare for the selected topic and on the day of the duel meet right before the debate they cast a draw to find out the position they have to prove.  In this stage students also improve their debating skills. The penal of judges in this phase consists of YES project staff and mentors of other clubs in some cases. Even though these are only friendly debates there is competition spirit in each town. This stage is followed up with bigger events such as Interschool Debates and National Debate Championship during which all the participant towns will be represented by their collective teams.
